Pillar brands such as Paul’s, OAK, Ice Break, Vaalia, Tamar Valley Dairy, Jalna, and President provide Lactalis Australia with a deep national footprint for growth and prosperity.  Our brands bring pride to our employees, and we continue to innovate with new products.About  the role          Based in our South Brisbane office and reporting to the Financial Accounting Manager your responsibilities will include:Month-end financial accounting duties including general ledger postings, account reviews, reconciliations and analysis for multiple entities.Assisting in the preparation of General Purpose Financial Statements for the Group(s) in accordance with tight timelines.Assistance in the preparation and collating of information for the annual audit process, including liaising with auditors and internal stakeholders. Ensure compliance with policy, statutory and accounting standard requirements – monitoring developments in accounting standards, including IFRS and FR GAAP.Involvement in the completion and submission of the group consolidation reporting package to Lactalis Headquarters in France, on a monthly basis.Reconciliation of intercompany balances on a monthly basis, including providing reporting to the treasury team and following up with internal stakeholders.Monitor entries and processes to ensure appropriate controls exist for accuracy of financial information.Provision of accounting support to various corporate functions as required.About YouYou hold a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Commercial Accounting, or a related discipline, and are either CA or CPA qualified, or currently working towards your professional accreditation. You have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a professional services or commercial accounting role and a sound understanding of Australian Accounting Standards, with the ability to confidently apply them in a practical environment.You are an ambitious and proactive professional who takes accountability for your work and consistently delivers results. With strong relationship building and problem solving skills, you are comfortable working collaboratively across teams and navigating complex challenges.You pride yourself on your attention to detail and strong technical capability, supported by excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience with SAP and/or Hyperion ERP will be highly regarded.
